The Sunday currently, volume 13

I just got back from Manila and now I am having a bit of rest from my online work, which I need to finish today. My long weekend was very productive: finalized a contract, attended classes for my LLM at San Beda College, currently finishing up my online work and managed to write this post during my self-imposed break.

Reading I haven’t read a book this week due to my busy schedule, but I have downloaded e-books that I saved in my Kindle, which need to be read by me.
Writing This post. I know I have listed topics for writing, unfortunately, I really need to find time to do them. It will be a challenge though since I have two papers to write for my Masters.
Listening ‘Sa Isip Ko’  by Sarah Geronimo.
Thinking about my Taipei trip with Shla, Ez and Etz this end of the month! So excited! 🙂
Smelling the fresh breeze.
Wishing to have ‘moolah’ for a potential investment.
Hoping to finish my online work today.
Wearing Peanuts printed shirt and short.
Loving the weather: sunny and breezy!
Wanting mani-pedi.
Needing a long overdue haircut.
Feeling motivated to do great in all of my current endeavors!
Browsing boring stuff about the topics we’ve discussed during my classes.
Clicking Expensify, but I need to sign up first before I could use it.
Watching ‘Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’ on Netflix.

The Sunday currently, volume 12

Keeping up with blogging has been hard for me for the past two years, but I must admit that I do miss it a lot. Blogging is one of my favorite hobbies since I started writing in college. Given my hectic work schedule plus school demands and constant travels, I end up not blogging nor updating my website. But, since it’s a long weekend and I have the whole afternoon doing nothing, hence, this blog (real time). 🙂

Reading Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. Actually, this is the first audiobook I listened to using Audible during my daily drive to and from work and while working online. The story of Ready Player One is very interesting and you will be hooked once you start reading or listening to it and it was recommended by Casey Neistat.
Writing My first ‘The Sunday currently’ entry this year 2017.
Listening ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ by Taylor Swift. TS’ first single for her upcoming album ‘Reputation’ to be released on November 2017. Despite some negative public opinion about the song, I like it and I think the song conveys about overcoming struggles and being strong.
Thinking about my plans of relaunching my website.
Smelling my newly-washed hair and it smells amazing. :p
Wishing for more days like today where I feel relaxed and rested.
Hoping that Sheila (my twin sis) and I would be able to buy Upper Box A tickets for Bruno Mar’s concert on May 3, 2018.
Wearing plain white sando and blue and white vertical striped pyjama shorts. My staple clothes at home.
Loving my iPad Air 2 where I am currently writing this blog entry.
Wanting nothing actually.
Needing to visit my dentist the soonest possible time.
Feeling super chill!
Browsing Death Note manga series at after watching the film to recall its original plot and story.
Clicking WordPress’ app for today’s blog entry.
Watching Death Note film, which was released last night on Netflix.

The Sunday currently, volume 11.

I am back with my weekly post of ‘The Sunday currently! I am not sure why I suddenly did not find time to do this blog entry every Sunday. I guess it was during the time I had to travel over the weekend and then I just realized that it has been 5 months since my last entry of the ‘The Sunday currently! But now, I am including this as part of my weekly routine and, hopefully, I could stick to it religiously. Plus, I decided to add Clicking (mobile app) and Watching (movie) on my list because I usually discover a new app or movie every week.

Reading ‘A Woman in Amber’ by Agate Nesaule. I included daily reading as part of my night routine and so far I finished reading 7-pages. The book is quite long and I think it will take me a month to finish it.
Writing Today’s entry of the ‘The Sunday currently’
Listening ‘Before you go’ by Common Kings. It was in the Spotify playlist of Discovery Weekly and, since then, I listen to the song every day.
Thinking about my new job as a government employee. It will be a big adjustment on my part because I have been self-employed since 2012 and it is my first time to work at a government office.
Smelling a 5-day old baby! My newest nephew, AJ, is at home! We were surprised by his parents and they did not inform us that they will be coming here in Naga.
Wishing for hassle-free and no traffic morning drive to my new workplace at Iriga City that is an hour drive from Naga.
Hoping that I could stick with my daily routines, cleaning tasks and schedules.
Wearing plain white shirt and denim shorts, which I bought at ‘ukay-ukay (a version of a thrift store for used clothing in the Philippines) for P25 (or US$0.50).
Loving Baby AJ, of course! I was able to carry him a while ago for just a minute or two. 🙂
Wanting to design and finish the interior of my house. Unfortunately, I do not have the fund and time yet to do them.
Needing a dental cleaning and check-up.
Feeling nostalgic that I have a new nephew!
Browsing I read and downloaded the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly cleaning lists as my guide for coming up with my own list.
Clicking ‘Routinist’ to track my daily routines and ‘Teach Aide+’ to track attendance and performance of my students, which I need for teaching.
Watching ‘The Jungle Book’ I have not read the book, but I love the story. It’s perfect for kids and there are lots of lessons that can be gained from the movie.

Determining my life purpose in 5 minutes

While I was binging TEDx[1] talks on YouTube one night, I saw a short video by Adam Leipzig about how to determine your life purpose in 5 minutes. I was quite intrigued about the topic since most people takes a lifetime to determine one’s purpose in life and here’s a video saying otherwise. So, I decided to watch it. I mean it will only take me a few minutes of my time to see if it’s real, right?

Surprisingly, after I watched the video, I was so happy to be able to determine my life purpose in actually less than 5 minutes! To tell you honestly, I never thought that such a complicated life question would be very easy to answer within 5 minutes at that.

So how did I found out about my life purpose? Simply answer these 5 questions listed below:

  1. Who are you?
  2. What do you do?
  3. Who do you do it for?
  4. What do they want or need?
  5. How do they change or transform as a result of what you give them?

After providing the answers to the questions above, hopefully, you will arrive at your own life purpose.

Well, here’s mine as an example:

In addition, you could use your life purpose as an answer to the most dreaded question of “So, what do you do?”

I do hope this blog inspired you to also find your own life purpose. And if you already have one, you may share it by writing in the comments below. Likewise, feel free to share this blog with your friends and loved ones who are somewhat not sure about their own life purpose.
